Ramon Erbella Ocana, DMD
Dr. Ramon Erbella Ocana was born and raised in Guantanamo, Cuba, and lived there until he was 25. He first earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science but eventually realized he did not want to pursue computer science for the rest of his life. His need for something more in his life eventually led him to Dentistry. The lack of dental care in Cuba inspired Dr. Ramon to pursue Dentistry in hopes of helping people with their dental and general health the best he could, regardless of their conditions and social status. He graduated from the University of Medical Sciences in Guantanamo in 2012. He was quickly chosen along with a group of the most talented recent graduates by the Cuban Government to go on a medical mission in Venezuela. On the medical mission, he gained extensive knowledge and experience while working in public health services and private dental settings. Unlike Cuba, in Venezuela, he had the opportunity to fully practice dentistry in a practice setting. After his medical mission, he was eager to continue his education and completed a residency at the Dental Clinic of San Rafael Del Mojan. He then continued his education by attending the University of Pennsylvania: Penn Dental Medicine, where he gained his DMD Degree in 2023. His passion for Dentistry stems from his love and passion for his career. This inspires him to provide his patients with the best care and experiences possible.
Outside the office, Dr. Ramon Erbella Ocana enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite activities include going to the beach, going on beach walks, watching movies with his family, running, hiking, and swimming.
